Perhaps it was out of love for her that he decided to let her go and grant her freedom to pursue love the way she wanted. Or thought she wanted. And perhaps it is out of love for him that she should learn to let go and move on with her life. Even if it is without him.

But for two people to make such selfless acts, out of love for one another. And to be kept apart maybe for eternity because of one wrong move of forsakened love...

Or perhaps. He simply doesn't love her any more.
